SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Sioux Falls City is gearing up to host the WPSL Central Regional playoffs this weekend.

The club won all nine of its matches this season and limited its opponents to just one goal, while scoring 32 over those contests. City won the Northern Conference championship by a single game. With the standings being so tight, the top-ranked team in the W-P-S-L says it approached every match this season as a playoff, and as a result, feels confident it will keep its nerves in check.

“These games this weekend are really no different. It’s the same kind of approach, the same process that we follow. Obviously, the meaningfulness of the game is a little bit more increased, but that doesn’t change your process or your preparation. So we just kind of follow that,” Sioux Falls City FC sporting director Joe DeMay said.

Sioux Falls City kicks off against FC Pride Saturday at 4 in the semifinal. The regional final is Sunday at 4.
