The city of Sioux Falls' website is one of many facing issues Friday morning following reports of a faulty system update from the cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike.

The city first reported the outage at 7:19 a.m., and as of 9:30 a.m., city websites were still inaccessible, although Customer Self Service is still accessible.

Multiple flights at the Sioux Falls Regional Airport had faced delays or were expecting delays as well.

Issues from the outages have been felt around the country, from disruptions of the London Stock Exchange to issues with 911 call centers around the United States and some hospitals canceling non-emergency services.

CrowdStrike has said the incident was "not a security incident or cyberattack," and was related to an issue that "has been identified, isolated and a fix has been deployed," though impacts could continue. The company also stated recent content updates had a defect that impacted Microsoft's Windows Operating System, according to USA Today.
