SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — As the Missouri Valley Football conference wrapped their media days, SDSU head coach Jimmy Rogers discussed plans for the upcoming season.

SDSU sits atop the FCS preseason Coaches poll at number one after claiming back to back national titles. Though having graduated 18 seniors, and even have had some go off into the NFL, coach Jimmy Rogers has some holes to fill as the 2024 season approaches. But coach says his team is ready and they’re gearing to do what they have been instilled to do which is tune out the outside noise.

“First time we lose a game, the first thing that will be written about is, what we are not or what we’ve lost, and we’re ready for that. And that comes with being at the top and so it’s really about the discipline of doing the things every day that you don’t want to do the best you can. And that’s kind of what we’re focused on,” coach Rogers said.

SDSU will begin their season on the road taking on Oklahoma State on August 31.
