Sioux Falls area singers will have an opportunity to try out for “American Idol” on Aug. 14, during a virtual Zoom audition.

“Idols Across America” is hosting the open call for South Dakota singers to participate in next year’s season.

Virtual auditions for the first round will be face-to-face with a producer, who will provide real-time feedback.

Hopefuls must apply for the audition here.

“American Idol” announced in May that the reality TV singing competition will return Sunday nights on ABC in 2025. Fans can also stream on ABC’s website, Hulu+ or YouTube. As of now, judges for the season will be Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie, with Ryan Seacrest returning as host.
