    'Down Home Fab' casting Sioux Falls homeowners for season 3

    Sioux Falls’ Chelsea and Cole DeBoer, of HGTV reality series “Down Home Fab,” are casting area homes for Season 3 of their home design show, premiering in 2025.

    On Monday, HGTV and the DeBoers announced via social media that “Down Home Fab” had been renewed for the third season. The video reel shows the couple opening a package from HGTV, revealing a note inside stating the news they had been waiting for .

    “Are you joking?!” Cole shouted and then laughed.

    “That means so much,” Chelsea said, her eyes welling with tears.

    Chelsea then posted casting information to her Instagram story, where, as of Thursday, she has 6.7 million followers.

    Applicants are limited to homeowners located within 40 minutes of Sioux Falls. The application form also states homeowners must have a minimum of three to four spaces which includes kitchens, bathrooms, living areas, bedrooms and home exteriors.

    Candidates will also need to list a renovation budget as “homeowners are expected to cover the majority of renovation costs,” according to the casting call form .

    According to a 2023 KELOLAND News article , a minimum of $75,000 was required for the renovation budget in season 2.

    “There are tons of benefits owners would receive such as offsetting costs and trade outs. We are also open to businesses as a renovation project,” Casting Director Joe Pinzone, of RTR Media , and producer of “Down Home Fab” season 3 said via email.

    Those who qualify may fill out an application or email casting@rtrmedia.com to apply. Photos of the home’s exterior, spaces in need of renovation, specific parts of those spaces to be updated and a family photo will also need to be included in each submission.

    Season 1 debuted in early 2023 and became the highest-rated freshmen series since May 2022, which prompted a rare mid-season renewal. Season 2 premiered in March 2024.

    Both can be streamed on Max and Discovery+.
