Arson arrest made in Siskiyou County, Thursday
YREKA, Calif. — A resident of Weed was arrested in Siskiyou County on Thursday after Cal Fire says the person was suspected of starting multiple fires in the area. Cal Fire says that around 5:45 a.m. on Thursday crews responded to a wildland fire in the Mount Shasta Vista area.
2,013 pounds of Marijuana seized in Siskiyou County
SISKIYOU, CA. – There was an arrest and more than 2,000 pounds of Marijuana seized in Siskiyou County. According to the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office, just before 6 pm on June 6, a deputy pulled over a U-Haul with Arizona plates in the Abrams Lake area and noticed a strong smell of Marijuana.
Report: Siskiyou County Authorities Seize Three Kilos of Suspected Narcotics
Two individuals were arrested in Siskiyou County last month for their suspected involvement in the transportation of over three kilos of suspected narcotics. In a press release on June 3rd, the Sheriff’s Office announced that they had confiscated over two kilos of suspected cocaine and one kilo of suspected heroin during a traffic stop in Yreka.
Driver arrested in Siskiyou County after police find over 2,000 pounds of marijuana
SISKIYOU COUNTY, Calif. -- A 22-year-old man from Long Beach was arrested in Siskiyou County after police found over 2,000 pounds of marijuana. According to a Facebook post from the Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office, police pulled over the man -- Oscar Gilbert Segura -- for speeding in a U-Haul. When the officer walked up to the vehicle, he smelled a "strong odor" of weed coming from the U-Haul.
