TULSA, OKLA (July 26, 2024) — Leaders from the Muscogee Nation and Muscogee Nation Gaming Enterprises announced today a. $100 million capital investment to build the Coweta Casino Hotel on 17 acres at the southeast corner of East 131st Street South and State Highway 51 in Coweta, Okla. The project will break ground in September 2024 and open in Spring 2026. The Coweta Casino Hotel will create 250 new jobs in the greater Tulsa region.

In 2021 a stray gray and white cat strolled into the Whittier Bar won the hearts of regulars and became the community bar cat named Latch. Latch the Cat inspired Bradley Metcalf and Laura Voth to launch a fundraiser called "Latch Fest" to support T-Town TNR an organization that humanely works to reduce Tulsa’s cat population. Tilton tried out a variety of non-pro friendly horses, but when she swung a leg over “Carrie”, she knew she’d found the one. Now, the pair has a big win under their belt at the 2024 Mars Hackamore Classic, taking home the Limited Non Pro Boxing Spectacular Championship. But this team didn’t always have the easiest road.
