While temps will be seasonably hot Friday in the upper 80s, lower humidity will keep it comfy for outdoor activities.A weak system could bring us a few clouds on Saturday, and even a slight chance of an isolated, spotty shower.Over the weekend and beyond, the temperatures will drop back to seasonably normal levels with only stray summer storms as humidity slightly increases starting Sunday. 7-month-old baby boy shot by stray gunfire in Philadelphia's Holmesburg neighborhood
Philadelphia police are investigating after a 7-month-old boy was shot by stray gunfire on Thursday night.It happened around 5:51 p.m. on the 4000 block of Meridian Street in the city's Holmesburg section.Video obtained by Action News shows the gunman walking up and opening fire on a baby and his parents outside of a home.The infant was shot in the leg by one of the stray bullets.When police arrived, they said the baby's parents weren't there. Doylestown Gets $4.4 Million Grant to Remove ‘Forever Chemicals’ from Water
DOYLESTOWN, PA—Doylestown Township’s water authority is getting a $4.4 million grant to remove “forever chemicals” from two of its wells. The Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority gave the Doylestown Township Municipal Authority a $4,415,435 grant to construct a 45x25 foot facility to remove chemicals like PFAS from two of its wells. The decontamination facility will be located near and connected to Central Well 5.
