Heat wave continues, cooling stations open in Spartanburg County. What about Greenville?
According to the National Weather Service, which is based in Greenville-Spartanburg, the heat wave in the Upstate will continue for the next two days. Temperatures will stay hot Wednesday through Thursday, with highs in the 90s. Today, highs will reach 92 by 2 p.m.; no relief is in sight until temperatures drop to 79 degrees at 9 p.m. Scattered thunderstorms are in the forecast for this afternoon.

YMCA of Greenville to oversee operations at Prisma Health Life Center
Prisma Health Life Center’s fitness operations will transition to the YMCA of Greenville in early fall 2024. Through a long-term lease and operating agreement, the YMCA will oversee and expand the center’s fitness programs. Life Center YMCA members will be able to participate in activities such as personal training, group exercise classes, aquatics programming and more.
