Live from Camp Cowen...again
For the third year in a row, I am spending a week of late June/early July counseling at Camp Cowen’s “High School 1” week. This week’s account is from this location. It’s the fourth time in total I have written a column while at this location, and this year I decided to do this in the middle of a hot Wednesday afternoon while surrounded by the ambient noises of high school kids attempting to beat each other in four square and pickleball. The two-hour free-time block truly is a riveting time.

Dottie Taylor Parrack, 71, a resident of Mill Creek, passed from this life Sunday, June 23, 2024, at home surrounded by family and under the care of West Virginia Caring. Dottie was born Wednesday, July 2, 1952, in Mill Creek, a daughter of the late Howard Taylor and Josephine Shiflett Taylor.
