Slidell man arrested, accused of stabbing neighbor

SLIDELL, La. ( WGNO ) — A Slidell man was arrested on Friday, July 19, after he allegedly stabbed his neighbor during an argument.

The Slidell Police Department reported a person who had been stabbed and was in “serious condition” with a collapsed lung arrived at a local hospital around 6 p.m.

SPD officers then responded to the hospital, where the victim’s family members reportedly told police the stabbing occurred at a home in the Breckenridge neighborhood.

Through an investigation, SPD officials said investigators learned the victim got into an argument with 40-year-old Anthony Davis when Davis allegedly went back to his home, got a knife and returned to the victim’s home.

SPD officials said Davis then allegedly stabbed the victim in his chest.

Davis was arrested and faces a charge of attempted second-degree murder.

The investigation is ongoing, and the victim was last reported to be in stable condition.
