Fire destroys mobile home in Winona
WINONA, Texas (KLTV) - Crews responded to a mobile home fire in Winona on Monday morning. Firefighters were called to Tyler Street in response to a structure fire at about 9:12 a.m., the Smith County Fire Department said. Within about 10 minutes of arrival, the crew had the fire contained, but they are continuing to work on clearing the scene.
Crews battling 'out of control' grass fire on CR 1140 in Smith County
SMITH COUNTY, Texas — Crews are responding to an "out of control" grass fire on County Road 1140. Officials from Smith County Emergency District 2 confirmed that a fire broke out in a wooded area near 14104 County Road 1140 and Oak Springs Road around 2:32 p.m. Nikki Simmons with SCESD2 said that the fire is approaching a nearby structure as well as woods. SCESD2 Dixie Engine 172 & Brush 172 are responding.

Fireworks suspected as cause of Smith County house fire
SMITH COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - The Smith County Fire Marshal’s Office says fireworks may have caused a destructive house fire Thursday night. According to the release from the county, the fire was reported in the 16900 block of FM 756 southwest of Tyler around 11:45 p.m. Thursday. Several occupants were home, the release said, but no one was injured.
