Fire crews respond to Smith Co. North Jail overnight
TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Several fire crews responded to the Smith County North Jail Friday morning after an air conditioner unit malfunctioned. The jail, which is located north of the intersection of Loop 323 and Mineola Highway in Tyler, houses more than 400 low and medium-risk inmates, according to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards.
