PCA crushed Clinton Christian 13-5 on Tuesday
Porter’s Chapel Academy went on the road and defeated Clinton Christian 13-5 on Tuesday. After trailing 3-0 early in the game, the Lady Eagles turned things around in the third after singles from Marley Bufkin and Brooklyn Nicholson along with a double from Sophie Masterson that tied the game at 3-3. PCA eventually went up 4-3 after an RBI from Kinsley Luke.
Case dismissed with prejudice against owner of former Briarwood One Building
JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - The slate has been wiped clean against the owner of a dilapidated North Jackson office building, now that the facility has been torn down. Local school districts increase uniform policy enforcement
MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - As schools are set to start returning on Thursday, August 1st - local school districts are preparing for students returning to campus. There have been concerns about possible changes to the dress code in Lauderdale County and surrounding districts. According to representatives from the school districts, the dress code itself hasn’t changed, but campus officials are being urged to increase enforcement of the dress code throughout the year.

Kylon Alford-Windfield had been in the workforce for six years before he made $45,000. After graduating from Mississippi Valley State University with a degree in political science, he took a job as a recruiter at a university for a year before accepting the same job at another Mississippi university for another six years. It wasn’t until he became the director of alumni affairs at his alma mater seven years later that his salary finally surpassed $45,000.
