An award-winning, Florida-based brewing company is branching out to the Peach State.

Crooked Can Brewing Company has signed a long-term lease at the recently completed Market Building within The Grove at Towne Center in Snellville.

The brewery is expected to open by the end of the year, followed shortly by several food vendors in the market/food hall.

Founded in 2014, Crooked Can Brewing Company strives to create quality craft beer while cultivating a social gathering place. The company has two other locations, offering its brewery and market/food hall concept in Florida and Ohio.

“It’s very much a community feel because one benefits the other,” Alan Delahunt , managing partner of Crooked Can Brewing Company, said of the brewery-anchored-food-hall concept.

The Snellville outpost will have a similar design and size as their original location in Winter Garden, Florida. The vendors are not yet decided, but expect a wide variety of cuisine to suit a range of tastes.

“We want to be able to cater to as many people as possible, having everything from pizza to Mexican to sushi to a sweet treat,” Delahunt told What Now Atlanta . “What we love about the concept is you can come with a large group, and there’s something for everybody.”

The Grove at Towne Center is a $140 million, 18-acre project creating a downtown district for Snellville. The partnership between MidCity Real Estate Partners , CASTO , the City of Snellville and Gwinnett County includes nine new buildings and a 750-space parking deck. The project broke ground in March 2021.

The Market Building, where Crooked Can Brewing Company will be housed, is at the heart of the district. The brewery and accompanying food vendors will be located on the first floor, with event space on the second floor.

“We have a good track record of being a community partner,” Delahunt said. “We look forward to being that in Snellville, providing a place for people of the city to all come together to share great times, drink great beer and eat great food.”
