Detractors questioned the necessity of placing tampons in men's bathrooms, especially at Disney World, and asked why men would need tampons.

For instance, one commenter wrote, "Sorry I thought they were FEMININE products," to which another responded, "Us guys can't even use a tampon."

However, the article's claim was not a factual recounting of real-life events. No evidence supported the news that Disney World, located in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, was installing machines for menstrual products, including tampons, in the men's bathrooms.
