On Sep. 2, 2024, X owner Elon Musk posted an image of Kamala Harris wearing a Soviet-looking communist uniform. "Kamala vows to be a communist dictator on day one. Can you believe she wears that outfit!?" Musk stated:

The image was AI-generated — likely created with the Midjourney, according to isitai.com . Moreover, there is no record of Harris ever "vowing to be a communist dictator." Musk's post was a response to an image posted by Harris' X account a day earlier, which contained the text "Donald Trump vows to be a dictator on day one":

In its tweet , the Harris campaign was referencing remarks Trump made to Sean Hannity in December 2023.
