There is a recent storm that has rolled in and continues to roll in to Mammoth Mountain, California. The current storm total is 14 to 18 inches and counting, with a recent snow fall of 6 to 8 inches, and more to come!

Mammoth Mountain has been getting a lot of snow this season, as per usual. The best thing about this resort is that they have the capability of staying open well into the summer if they get a good snow season during the winter, and that can mean July and August. So the folks in California get to have a never ending winter more often than you would think.

Last year, Mammoth closed on August 6th! The year before that was June 5th.

Here are all the Mammoth closing dates in recent history.

Is it in the cards for Mammoth this season? There is no official closing day for Mammoth Mountain yet, but this storm is stacking up quite nicely for that to be the outcome.
