Vans Snowboarding and Fat Tire Collabed on a Summer Can

Colorado's Fat Tire beer, owned by New Belgium brewing, teamed up with Vans for a collaborative beer can. It is, perhaps, the first beer can that Vans has come out with.

There was a party in Denver, Colorado over the weekend to celebrate and announce the launch of this special, limited edition can clad in Vans' classic checkered print with a gorgeous vintage style Fat Tire logo on the can. Jill Perkins and Sam Taxwood from the Vans team were present in CO to proudly represent their love for Vans and their love for beer.

If somehow you live under a rock (literally) and have never heard of the company Vans, let me put you on. Vans is a renowned American shoe company founded in 1966, known from its inception for its iconic skateboarding shoes. Originating in California, Vans has become a staple in action sports culture, celebrated for its durable, stylish designs. The brand has expanded to offer apparel, accessories, and even sponsors events like the Vans Warped Tour, Vans Hi Standard, and many more. With a strong emphasis on creativity and individuality, Vans continues to influence streetwear and skate culture globally. They have expanded largely beyond just skateboarding and Vans is a respected staple within the snowboard world making proper snowboard boots and winter slippers for going to and from the mountain. They also make some surf stuff, though I could not tell you exactly what.

If you do not know about Fat Tire, which would only be slightly more understandable, let me put you on. Fat Tire, brewed by New Belgium Brewing Company in Fort Collins, Colorado, is a celebrated amber ale. Inspired by a bicycle trip through Belgium, it offers a smooth, approachable taste, making it a favorite among craft beer enthusiasts.
