evo, the community-minded retailer that has expanded on the definition of its category through initiatives, events, and resources for the action sports and outdoors population, is opening a new evo Campus in Tahoe next year, the evo Campus Tahoe City .

evo's Campuses (the first is in Seattle and the second is in Salt Lake City) are unique takes on retail and hospitality, combining flagship storefronts with amenity-loaded hotels , but are geared to be hubs for community, both for visitors and locals. Finding the sweet spot between tourism and localism is no small task, but evo has a knack at authentically entering mountain communities and adding to them through events, work with non-profits, the multi-location All Together Skateparks, and more.

At the new evo Campus in Tahoe, this looks like working closely with legendary Tahoe local Jeremy Jones to make the Campus a new and contributing part of the area's tight-knit community.

evo explained what the partnership with Jeremy will entail in a press release:

evo’s Campus Tahoe City will center around a highly amenitized evo Hotel with content curated by Jeremy Jones, complemented by an immersive food and beverage experience in the historic Tahoe Inn building. Campus Tahoe City will feature a series of stories narrated by Jeremy Jones, centered around his adventures, passions, and values. Every room in the new evo Hotel will highlight people, activities, events, and geography that make Tahoe special from a Jeremy Jones perspective.

“Beyond Jeremy’s legendary snowboard career, his storytelling, his care for community, and his shared vision for this project make him the perfect collaborator,” said Bryce Phillips, evo Founder. “Similar to Campus Salt Lake and Seattle, the vision in Tahoe City is to provide a unique-to-Tahoe community gathering place for locals and visitors alike, celebrating the culture and history of this remarkable region.”

The evo Campus Tahoe City is located on the northwest side of Lake Tahoe, not far from Alpine Meadows and Palisades.

Additionally, evo is partnering with Protect Our Winters, the non-profit founded by Jeremy that works to educate on climate change and affect its trajectory through legislation. All of the proceeds from the restaurant at evo Campus Tahoe City will be donated to POW, an incredible move by evo in protecting the places in which we love to be outdoors.

Tahoe is something of a bellwether for climate change; incredibly variable snow years in winter and increased wildfires in summer are shocking and very visible environmental shifts year-over-year. To have POW ingrained in evo's efforts to cultivate positive community contribution is indicative of the company's commitment to the outdoors and the regions in which it opens its flagship Campuses.

"Teaming up with evo at its new Tahoe City Campus is an exciting opportunity for Protect Our Winters,” said POW CEO, Erin Sprague. “This partnership reflects our shared passion for protecting the outdoor spaces we love while uniting our community in one of our favorite locations to ski, run, bike, hike, and climb. By integrating storytelling, adventure, and climate action, we're crafting a unique and inspiring experience for everyone who visits."

evo Campus Tahoe City will open winter 2025. The location is right across from Commons Beach. Explained evo, "The site is currently occupied by the historic Tahoe City Inn building and America’s Best Value Inn, which evo plans to honor through restoration and pay homage to the location’s roots."
