U.S. Ski & Snowboard is excited to host a Freestyle Ultimate Airwave Competition at Utah Olympic Park this Saturday. The event, which is free to attend, will run from noon to 5 p.m. and promises an action-packed day of excitement.

The competition will take place at the park's well-known water ramps, a place where elite freestyle snow athletes practice and refine their aerial skills during the warmer months. These ramps provide the perfect training ground for athletes to prepare for on-snow competitions. Spectators will be able to get a firsthand look at how these athletes push their limits and perfect complex tricks in a summer setting.

This year's competition will feature top athletes from the Stifel U.S. Freestyle Ski Team aerials roster, along with international competitors from Argentina, Australia, Switzerland, and Canada. The event will show some of the best freestyle talent from around the world, so spectators can expect an exciting and intense environment of competition and camaraderie.

Olympic gold medalists Ashley Caldwell, Chris Lillis, and Justin Schoenefeld are among the star athletes slated to participate. Lillis, the reigning champion from last year's inaugural event, will be defending his title in what is expected to be a close contest.

The competition kicks off with qualification rounds at noon. Athletes will be giving it their all to secure a spot in the finals, with only the top 12 men and women advancing to the final round, which is scheduled to begin at 4:05 p.m. Expect to see some of the most innovative and progressive tricks during this portion of the event.

In addition to the Ultimate Airwave competition, spectators will also be treated to the Flying Ace Allstars show, which will take place on the water ramps immediately following the main event. The Flying Ace Allstars is a world-renowned showcase of freestyle skiing and snowboarding talent.

While the Freestyle Ultimate Airwave Competition is free to attend, tickets are required for the Flying Ace Allstars show. For more information about both the U.S. Freestyle Ultimate Airwave competition and the Flying Ace show, including how to purchase tickets, you can visit the official websites of FIS and the Utah Olympic Park.

This event is a perfect opportunity for sports fans and general outdoorsmen and women to witness world-class freestyle athletes in action, while enjoying a day outside at one of the most iconic training facilities in the country.
