Young and the Restless alum Kelly Kruger and her daughter made a recipe that went well for the girl, but not so much for mom.

It’s been a while since Kelly Kruger reprised the role of Mackenzie Browning on The Young and the Restless in 2019, but she’s kept in touch with her fans through social media. From imparting recipes for gluten-free foods to giving out daily tips on health and beauty to sharing her life with husband Darin Brooks, who portrays Wyatt on The Bold and the Beautiful, she keeps busy. In her latest funny video, she and their daughter attempt to make a recipe, but Kruger’s skills seem to fall short.

    Disastrous Results

Kruger’s Instagram page states, “Come for the tips, stay for the laughs,” and she certainly provided ample laughs with her recent post. Set to the song Things Are Brewing by Isaintjames, aka James Francis Lartner, she shared a video with the caption, “My four-year-old is better at this than me 🤣. Apple coffee 🍎 ☕️.”

Kruger and her young daughter mimicked a woman that Kruger regularly imitates, making Apple Coffee, interspersing her video with theirs as they hilariously copied each facet of the woman’s actions, including saying what they’ve added, usually with a one or two-word statement such as “an apple,” “honey,” “coconut milk,” etc.

They each had a hollowed-out apple, and while the daughter had no trouble pouring things into it, the mom hilariously couldn’t get her act together, with ingredients falling everywhere but into the apple. At one point, Kruger says, “Ooh, you’re doing really good! You didn’t even spill,” then adds, “I have a hole in the bottom of my apple.”

    Failure Was Not an Option

Using battery-powered hand mixers to stir up the contents of their apple, Kruger asked her daughter, “Why are you doing such a good job, and I can’t get it right?” She used a piece of cellophane to cover the bottom of her apple to prevent leakage. Mom couldn’t even drop ice cubes into the apple properly, although her daughter and the lady from the recipe video made it look effortless. “You’re silly, Mom,” quipped the young girl.

They added coffee and whipped cream to the mix, although clearly, the little girl added water to hers instead of a caffeinated beverage. With extra long straws, they sipped their concoctions, with mom stating, “I got nothing,” as the contents of the apple dribbled out of the hole in the bottom.

Both mother and daughter stated that it was “perfect,” although Kruger quickly amended that, saying, “Well, hers was. Mine was nuts.” From watching her other videos, we know that she can actually cook, but it was nice to see her having fun with her kid! (Find out about Kruger and Brooks’ love secrets!)
