The Young and the Restless' Courtney Hope Shares Important Life Advice

You would think with all the crazy soap opera drama Sally Spectra has been through on The Young and the Restless, fans wouldn’t take Courtney Hope seriously for giving life advice. But that’s not the case at all. Recently, she shared some words of wisdom borne out of her personal experience.

Stay Committed To Your Goals

Hope posted a video of what’s presumably her legs walking on Instagram. The text overlaid on it said, “How do you show up for yourself?” She then wrote a long passage that began with, “One step at a time, one foot in front of another. Some days you may lack motivation, others you may lack inspiration, but if you focus on dedication and consistency as the means to reach your goal you have a higher likelihood to keep moving forward.”

She then explained that one’s mood shouldn’t be the sole motivating factor in one’s world, and there are many things like being tired or even distractions that can take one’s sight off of their goals, and we should be truly committed to our goals. “When you show up for yourself, especially when you don’t ‘feel like it’, your whole way of moving through life shifts,” she wrote, adding that “self-compassion” can be a great assistant in one’s goal achievement. Showing Up For Yourself Is Important

“The way you show up for yourself changes the way you show up for the world,” Hope stated, defining self-discipline as a, “Deepening of Self Trust and hopefully self compassion… which is one of the greatest gifts you’ll ever give yourself that will spill over into all areas of your life. ❤️.” She then challenged her followers to not only determine if they “show up” for themselves, but also how they can improve their path to a goal, and what they gained by simply showing up.

One fan replied, “I show up for myself by sticking to a routine and listening 🎶 to music to get me through the day!!!!” While some fans chose to discuss Y&R storylines, most were picking up what she was putting down, with one follower responding, “Love you, needed this. I used to show up for myself all the time, but now it seems I show up for everyone else... it's my time.
