The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives was supposed to be a short-lived docuseries. However, the show ended up shattering Hulu’s records. It attracted more viewers than the recent season of The Kardashians, setting a new precedent for any unscripted series on the streaming platform.

    Breaking Records on Hulu

The Wrap previously reported the premiere was the most-watched on Hulu, Disney+, and Star+ across all global markets. The data was based on four days of streaming. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has also been trending across all social media platforms. It’s no longer associated with #MomTok, a group of Mormon influencers on TikTok.

The series follows the lives of Demi Engemann, Jen Affleck, Jessi Ngatikaura, Layla Taylor, Mayci Neeley, Mikayla Matthews, Taylor Frankie Paul, and Whitney Leavitt. The women push the envelope and explore what a Mormon wife should act like on social media. The group first made headlines when Taylor Frankie revealed that some of the members are into “soft swinging.”

Viewers can’t get enough of the women of #MomTok. They don’t just want to catch up with their daily lives on TikTok; they want more behind-the-scenes drama on the show.

    Renewed for Season 2?

According to Today, Hulu has yet to renew the show for another season. Some members of #MomTok shared their thoughts. Taylor Frankie said most of them would be “on board” to film Season 2. There’s no one in the cast who’s against the idea, even with all the drama that happened this past season.

Jen teased Us Weekly about the show’s fate. She suggested that there would be a second season. However, some of the cast members would approach it differently. Mayci wants to be more outspoken, while Mikayla and her husband want to be featured more. It’s any wonder whether production will take them up on their suggestions.
