In 2012, Ian Buchanan (pictured with Kathleen Gati as Dr. Liesl Obrecht) returned to GH — not as Duke Lavery, but as Cesar Faison masquerading as Duke in the hopes of seducing Anna Devane. Buchanan told Soap Opera Digest of the mask of his face, "When I saw it for the first time, I was like, 'Wow. That looks kind of like my father. Why wouldn't you do a younger mask?' I sat for that getting layer after layer of one thing or another, latex and everything else. It got very heavy and it was very hot it took almost an hour.
