On Wednesday, October 16 at 3 p.m. ET/12 p.m. PT, Van Hansis, who recently took over the role of Lucas Jones on General Hospital and was beloved for playing Luke Snyder on As the World Turns , will appear live with host Alan Locher on The Locher Room .

    Back On Daytime

"I’m diving into a really exciting storyline and it’s been such a blast to be here and to be working with all these awesome people both in front of and behind the cameras," Hansis recently told Digest . "It’s been really, really thrilling to be back on daytime."

Indeed, Hansis has hit the ground running on GH, bringing Lucas, a character who is beloved but has been off the canvas for far too long, back to interact with his family, friends and hospital co-workers — one of whom just to happens to be his ex-husband, Brad. In addition to the angst of that relationship, there are emotional reminders of his life with his mother, the late Bobbie Spencer, and the boy he thought was his adopted son, Wiley Corinthos, not to mention the presence of his various relatives in town, including his sisters, Sam and Carly, his brother Leo, his aunt Ava and many more. The relationship with Aunt Ava is of particular interest to viewers who were also fans of his previous soap gig, ATWT. After all, actress Maura West played Carly Tenney Snyder in Oakdale.

During his time on the CBS soap, Hansis was a five-time Daytime Emmy nominee for his groundbreaking role of Luke, one of the first members of a core family on a soap to come out as gay. Since his exit from that show, his career has continued to thrive with credits including Paul Schrader’s Oscar-nominated film First Reformed , HBO’s The Deuce , CBS’s FBI , and his role as a series regular on Netflix’s Emmy-winning Eastsiders .

Before his move to GH, the actor has also been busy over the last few years coaching actors who have booked roles in over 70 network TV shows, feature films, and Broadway productions.

Hansis will share behind-the-scenes stories from his long and distinguished acting career, insights into his coaching methods, and all the details about his exciting return to daytime TV. Set your reminders now — you won’t want to miss this!
