Greg Rikaart Is Running for Charity!

In just a few short months, Greg Rikaart (Leo, Days of Our Lives ; Kevin, The Young & The Restless ) will be running the New York City Marathon. But he’s not just doing it for himself, he’s doing it for charity!

“I am just about three months out from the NYC Marathon where I’m so honored to be running for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital,” he shared on Instagram. “Please help me reach my fundraising goal.”

As we publish this story, Rikaart is a third of the way to his $10,000 fundraising goal. Fans and friends have already donated thousands of dollars to the cause, including co-stars like Eileen Davidson (Ashley, Y&R ) and Cherie Jimenez (Gabi, DAYS ).

Rikaart earned tons of loyal soap fans when he made his daytime debut as Kevin Fisher on Y&R back in 2003, earning a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in 2005. Then, in 2018, he made even more fans when he joined the cast of DAYS as Leo Stark (while still popping back to Y&R for the occasional appearance).

The annual New York City Marathon covers all five boroughs, beginning on Staten Island and then moving through Brooklyn and up into Queens. Runners then cross the East River into Manhattan and up into the Bronx before turning south into Harlem and down into Central Park to the finish line. The race is being held this year on Sunday, Nov. 3, so there’s still plenty of time for Rikaart to get more donations and reach his fundraising goal for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
