The ‘80s weren’t just the heyday of the daytime soap, primetime soaps were also big, with millions of viewers tuning in to shows like Dynasty, Dallas, and its spinoff, Knots Landing . Unfortunately for fans, these shows can be difficult to watch today, but now there’s a new streaming channel where you can get your fix — Primetime Soaps by WBtv !

Primetime Soaps by WBtv is a FAST channel (Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television) that is currently available on apps like Freevee and Plex. If you don’t already have one of these apps, you can go into your television’s list of apps and search and download them to discover a whole slew of streaming content. (As the name implies, they’re free because they have commercial breaks.)

Knots Landing will begin with the first episode of season one airing on Tuesday, Aug. 13, at 8:19 p.m. ET. Up until that point, fans can check out episodes of Falcon Crest on the channel until the Dallas spinoff takes over.

Unfortunately, FAST channels are best for shows where you can drop in and out like sitcoms or anthologies because they tend to air episodes in order non-stop. So immediately after episode one of Knots Landing, they’ll air episode two, then three, and so on. Meaning if you want to watch all the episodes in order, you’d need to watch 24/7 and never sleep.

Naturally, this isn’t ideal for someone looking to get sucked into the drama of the cul-de-sac (or Falcon Crest’s vineyard) because it’s pretty much impossible to watch every episode in order. However, for fans of Knots Landing, it can be fun to tune in and watch a little bit to remember the glory days of ‘80s soaps. (And who knows, maybe eventually, they’ll be available on demand to watch at your convenience… we’ll be sure to let you know if that happens!)
