Exclusive: Can Sally Forgive Adam on Y&R? — Courtney Hope Speaks Out!

Sally was heartbroken to learn that Adam had cheated on her with Chelsea on The Young & The Restless , but what made the revelation sting even more was that he had lied to her face about it on multiple occasions. She’s said she’s through with Adam but might Sally be willing to give him another chance?

“You never know,” Courtney Hope admitted when Soaps In Depth posed the question. “Personally, I love Adam and Sally. I think they’re amazing and I love them together and I love the dynamic that they create and what they bring to each other and the fire that they have, but also the love and the passion that they have. So I would love to say that yeah, in time, things evolve into a place where they can make it work.”

The problem right now is that Sally’s heart is still shattered into a million pieces and it’s going to be some time before she can consider forgiving Adam for both the cheating and then the subsequent lies to cover it up.

“I definitely think for Sally, she’s going to need some time to process all of it for starters and heal from it,” Hope mused. “But also, I feel like Adam’s really going to have to step up. She’s concerned about his faithfulness and his love for her and her alone. So who knows, maybe a third chance is in the works. Not sure.

“I think it’s just more trying to navigate the pain in this moment,” she continued. “She just moved in with him and she was, in her mind, thinking, ‘Oh, this is going to be my person.’ And so I think right now, her world is spinning, but she’s holding on so tightly to her integrity as best she can in this moment. So whatever that looks like in the future, I guess we’ll see.”
