SNL's Sarah Sherman Is Playing Robin Finch on GH!

Things have been pretty heavy on General Hospital lately, but the mood is going to lighten up some when Saturday Night Live’s Sarah Sherman makes a guest appearance on the soap she’s been a fan of her whole life!

People is reporting that the comedian will be in two episodes slated to air on Thursday, Sept. 5, and Friday, Sept. 6. She will be playing Robin Finch, a dialect coach who arrives to help Lois, who began looking for help after viewers criticized her accent during her appearance on Home & Heart selling Deception products.

“I had the best time of my life and I couldn’t believe I got to act in a scene with Tracy Quartermaine!” Sherman enthused. “I was so nervous about flubbing my lines, because I was surrounded by pros who memorize like, a billion pages of dialogue a day. Also, I met Sonny Corinthos, so I can die happy!”

People also shared a sneak preview clip of Sherman’s first scene on GH when Robin arrives at the Quartermaine mansion and meets the family in the living room. Olivia takes issue when Robin corrects her pronunciation of croissant, but is stunned into silence when the dialect coach is able to name the specific area of Brooklyn she comes from!

Originally from Long Island, Sherman joined the cast of SNL for its 47th season in 2021 as a featured player and her unique comedic sensibilities led to her being promoted to full cast members in 2023. In addition to her work on SNL and stand-up performances, she has appeared in an episode of Chucky, the movie You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzva , and has done voice work for multiple animated projects.
