September is shaping up to be quite an exciting month for former General Hospital star Nicholas Alexander Chavez (ex-Spencer): The Daytime Emmy winner will appear in not one but two new drama series from producer Ryan Murphy! The official trailer for Grotesquerie has dropped, as well as the first full trailer for Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story , and Chavez is prominently featured in both!

First up is Monsters, the second installment in the Netflix anthology series by co-creators Murphy and Ian Brennan. Set to premiere on Sept. 19, the riveting true-crime drama will explore the lives of Lyle and Erik Menendez, who infamously murdered their parents in the family’s Beverly Hills mansion in 1989. Chavez stars as Lyle in the long-awaited series, with Cooper Koch as younger brother Erik.

As with the previously released teaser for the series , the longer promo shows the brothers pulling up to the house and walking in, guns in hand. In a therapy session, Chavez’s Lyle tells the doctor, “Erik and I killed our parents together, so I’d say that makes us pretty close.” The preview then follows the brothers as guilt, nightmares, grief, and elation plague them. The sexual abuse Lyle and Erik suffered at the hands of their father (with the knowledge of their mother) is also alluded to, and the promo goes on to tease their arrests, trial, and transportation to prison.

A week later, Grotesquerie will bow on FX on Sept. 25, at 10 p.m. The 10-episode horror series follows Det. Lois Tryon, a woman haunted by a series of heinous crimes that have descended upon her small community. But the deeper she gets in investigating the case, the more she suspects the murder spree is personal. Lois tries to solve the crimes with Sister Megan, a journalist nun, but they find themselves tangled in a web that raises more questions than answers.

Chavez, who plays Father Charlie, pops up several times in the preview, first when Lois is in a confessional booth, declaring to the priest, “It’s like God left the keys to the candy store to the devil.” Later, Father Charlie is at the pulpit in front of the church, and at lunch with Sister Megan who tells him that it’s better to look at evil than ignore it. “And what if you enjoy the looking?” Father Charlie asks her in return. The nun and priest seem to be in some kind of sexual relationship, as Sister Megan spies Father Charlie — biceps bared — working out, and then he self-flagellates as she sits on his bed! Later still, a shirtless Father Charlie, wearing nothing but a towel, closes the door to his room with Sister Megan inside before the preview cuts to her on her knees before him (seemingly wearing nothing but her habit) as he erotically rubs his thumb across her lower lip!

Check out Chavez as Lyle Menendez and Father Charlie in the previews posted above, and then tune in to see him in action!

I didn’t like his acting in GH. I don’t know why or how he’s acting anywhere else because he sucks!
