Kristian Alfonso and Peter Reckell Return to DAYS!

Fans should expect 2025 to be a year full of surprises and special events because Days of Our Lives will be celebrating its 60th anniversary. And kicking off the treats the soap has in store is the return of Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso as the iconic Bo and Hope!

TV Insider is reporting that the duo is already back taping at the studio for a special storyline that is scheduled to air in May 2025. (Yes, DAYS tapes that far in advance!) “This ride is one we know the fans are really going to love,” Reckell enthused. “Stay tuned!”

The pair became one of the soap’s most popular supercouples after Reckell and Alfonso joined the cast in 1983. Although Bo met a tragic end in 2015, Reckell continued to make spectral appearances in the years that followed. Then, in March 2023, it was revealed that Bo was still alive and he and Hope were finally reunited! Sadly, their happiness was short-lived as Bo fell into a coma after his son, Shawn, shot him trying to protect his mother. Hope left Salem in April 2023 to stay by Bo’s side as she prayed for him to come back to her once more.

Alfonso returned for some episodes this year so that Hope could attend Doug’s funeral as DAYS pays tribute to the late Bill Hayes, but Bo remained in his coma. Now that we know that Bo will be waking up in the near future, next May can’t come soon enough!

“These episodes with Pete will not disappoint,” Alfonso promised.
