There may be a saying that “you can’t go home again,” but don’t tell that to The Young & The Restless star Mark Grossman (Adam). Because the actor did just that, leaving California to fly across the country to visit his family in Parkesburg, PA!

“The Grossman roots run deep here in southeastern Pennsylvania,” he shared on Instagram with a series of photos from his trip. “After 18 years away, it sure is great to be back.”

In his gallery, Grossman included a big group family photo, some smaller family groupings, a shot from a horse auction, him climbing down from a tractor, and videos taken as they drove past a cow-filled pasture as well as a team of horses pulling a plow across a field. The final slide is of a framed cross-stitch of a farm filled with various animals with text that reads: “I will build myself a farm.”

If Grossman does intend on building himself a farm, hopefully, he’ll do it in California so he can continue playing Adam Newman on Y&R ! He took over the role back in May 2019 and earned a Daytime Emmy Award nomination in 2020 for his work on the soap.

Parkesburg is a borough in Chester County, PA, and it looks very rustic. In fact, in the comments of Grossman’s post, one fan noted that it reminded her of Hope’s farm on Y&R! Longtime fans will remember the character of Hope Adams , played by Signey Coleman, who was living on a farm in Kansas when Victor Newman fell in love with her. Their romance led to the birth of their son, Victor Adam Newman, Jr.
