Darin Brooks Wraps Filming on a New Sports Movie!

Former The Bold & The Beautiful star Darin Brooks (ex-Wyatt) just spent a few weeks in Rhode Island filming an exciting new movie with some “legendary” co-stars, and had a blast doing so!

In an Oct. 4 Instagram post, Brooks shared that the clapboard had gone down for the final time on the sports comedy he’d been working on. “Man… Last day of filming with all these incredibly talented, legendary, crazy ass kids!” he wrote. “We seriously laughed our friggin’ [behinds] off, all day every day, and I couldn’t think of a better group of people to work with! Can’t wait for this hilariously funny film to come out! Coming soon!”

Written and directed by Tom DeNucci, the new movie is called The Roaring Game and centers around the ice sport of curling. According to a local news outlet Fall River Reporter , the comedy tells the tale of a group of outsiders who join together to compete in the world curling games to stay one step ahead of a bookie and his ruthless goons trying to collect a bet!

Based on behind-the-scenes photos shared from the film’s set, Brooks plays Rickey Rhodes, part of the Team USA crew along with Antwon Tanner’s Hank Mitchell and Eddie Kay Thomas’ Bobby Rhodes. Of course, fans from 2000s-era television and movies will recognize that particular trio as Blue Mountain State’s Alex Moran, One Tree Hill’s Skills, and Finch from the American Pie franchise!

“When Alex Moran, Skills, and Finch collide,” Brooks joked in another post. “This is like every girl’s childhood dream team,” commented his wife, fellow BMS star Kelly Kruger (ex-Eva, B&B ).

The Roaring Game ’s ensemble cast also includes legendary actor William Forsythe (who plays the ragtag team’s coach), Mickey Rourke, and former Sopranos star John Fiore as another member of Team USA, Moretti. New England Patriots MVP Rob Gronkowski even makes a special appearance in the film!

A release date has not yet been announced for The Roaring Game , but Brooks already told DeNucci that he’s game for a follow-up! “It was a truly magical experience, and I can’t thank you enough for letting me be a part of it!” he wrote on DeNucci’s Instagram recap of the production. “Let’s do another one!”
