The last time that soap fans saw Emily O’Brien on television she was wearing a blonde wig to play Theresa on Days of Our Lives . And while she didn’t go as short as she did back when she played Jana on The Young & The Restless , the actress did show off her stylish new short haircut. “Snip snip,” she captioned the selfie.

O’Brien also used the hashtag to share that her new look is an Italian bob, which is technically less defined than a normal bob with slightly frayed tips and some layering in the top. The cut also looks extra good with a side part, which the actress is clearly rocking along with some new highlights.

O’Brien sported a few different looks during her 2006-11 run as Jana Hawkes on Y&R , from colored streaks to a super-short close-cropped bob. When she joined DAYS in 2020 as Gwen Rizczech , she sported her natural brown locks, but when she switched over to play Theresa Donovan in 2023, the actress began wearing a blonde wig to match the look of previous portrayer Jen Lilley.

Naturally, the comments on O’Brien’s post filled up with compliments from fans and friends, including some DAYS stars. Greg Rikaard (Leo) declared it “Gorg” while Tamara Braun (Ava) praised: “So pretty!” Stacy Haiduk (Kristen) used three heart emojis to get her point across while Paul Telfer (Xander) used starry-eyed emoji faces. “I love it!” exclaimed Linsey Godfrey (Sarah). “Stunning.” (With a fire emoji for emphasis!)

Throughout her career, O’Brien has looked stunning no matter if her hair is long, short, dark, light, or anywhere in between. Check out the photo gallery below for proof!
