B&B’s Annika Noelle Opens up About a Hope and Liam Reunion

Hope has had quite the chaotic love life in recent years on The Bold & The Beautiful. She split up with Liam and fell in love with Thomas, but then he dropped her when she wouldn’t agree to marry him. She had a brief obsession with Finn (understandable!) and has now started seeing sparks flying with Carter. However, the course of true love never runs smooth, and just as Hope is beginning to explore her feelings for Carter, Liam has decided he wants to get back together!

“I mean, it’s shocking to her,” Annika Noelle told Soap Opera Digest of Hope’s reaction to his declaration. “She’s like, ‘What do you mean? We finally reached a good place as co-parents and have this rhythm and have this stable thing for Beth going.’ It’s a little shocking because it’s like, ‘Wait, wait wait — we want to try disrupting that kind of peace that we’ve finally found now?’ After all the years of that toxic cycle they were in?!”

Given their rocky past, it’s no wonder that Liam wants to look only ahead to the future. “Liam does make a good point where he’s arguing, ‘You know, I don’t want to replicate what was in the past. I’ve done a lot of soul-searching. I want to create something new for us in the future,’” the actress mused. “But you know, that’s easier said than done!”

While Hope made it pretty clear that she wasn’t interested in a reunion, Liam still seems to be holding out hope he can make it happen. But perhaps she would be better off pursuing something new with Carter instead of trying to revisit the past?

“I think it has been very clear that Hope has been floundering to find herself ever since Thomas left,” Noelle declared. “And I’m hoping she finally makes some healthy decisions for herself and her family and keeps her head up high — not because she’s depending on a man’s strength, but because she’s finding her own again.”
