FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - Filing for municipal candidacy opened for residents in the Fairbanks North Star Borough on Monday, July 15. The upcoming election on Oct. 1, includes Borough Mayor as well as seats A, F and G in the borough assembly. Seats A and B are also going up for election on the Interior Alaska Natural Gas Utility (IGU) Board, as well as school board seats A and B.

The Soldotna City Council approved the City’s fiscal year 2025 capital budget last week, including $575,000 in appropriations for capital projects.
