REDDING, Calif. — A Modesto man was arrested for solicitation of a minor for sexual acts in Redding Wednesday. The Redding Police Department (RPD) says Ramiro Gonzalez-Cordova, 33, of Modesto, started chatting with a 15-year-old female online and arranged to meet her near her home in Redding. Officials say after driving nearly 4 hours to meet the girl in Redding, on July 24, Gonzalez-Cordova instead met Redding Police Detectives, who had been posing as the juvenile on an internet chat application.

South Lake Tahoe police seek hit and run driver after July 19 crash
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, CA. (News 4 & Fox 11) — Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for a hit and run driver in a South Lake Tahoe crash that occurred last week. Authorities say two vehicles collided on Johnson Pass Road/Old Meyers Grade around 3:40 p.m. on July 19. One of the drivers refused to exchange information with the other driver as required by law.
