Title hopefuls: Somerset Berkley football takes another run for playoffs in 2024

SOMERSET — The Herald News concludes the upcoming football schedules from the Greater Fall River area with Somerset Berkley

For the second straight season, the Raiders had an area-best 8-3 regular season and punched their second straight playoff berth. SBR also captured a share of the league title with Old Rochester, thanks to Apponequet's win on Thanksgiving Day.

The month of October and in early November, the Raiders dive into their South Coast Conference league games, which features Greater New Bedford, Old Rochester, Dighton-Rehoboth and Apponequet. SBR travels to Central High School for their second meeting on Thanksgiving Day eve.

2024 Somerset Berkley football schedule

Week 1 — Friday, Sept. 6 vs. Hanover, 6:30 p.m.

Week 2 — Friday, Sept. 13 at Dennis Yarmouth, 6 p.m.

Week 3 — Friday, Sept. 20 vs. Stoughton, 6:30 p.m.

Week 4 — Friday, Sept. 27 at Durfee, 6:30 p.m.

Week 5 — Friday, Oct. 4 vs. Greater New Bedford, 6:30 p.m.

Week 6 — Friday, Oct. 11 vs. Old Rochester, 6:30 p.m.

Week 7 — Friday, Oct. 18 at Dighton-Rehoboth, 6:30 p.m.

Week 8 — BYE

Week 9 — Friday, Nov. 1 at Apponequet, 6:30 p.m.
