SOMERSET ― Chipotle Mexican Grill will open its doors to the public at 1180 N. Center Ave. at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, according to a company representative.
The Somerset County Chamber of Commerce has also invited the Somerset County community to join them at the grand opening of the restaurant, according to a post on their Facebook page .
Chipotle's hours of operation will then be from 10:45 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday to Sunday.
What does Chipotle offer?
Chipotle Mexican Grill has a menu that features burritos, tacos, salads and more prepared fresh daily, with no frozen or canned foods and no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives, according to its website .
In October, the California-based corporation announced it planned to open a Somerset location in part of the former Kings restaurant building , next to Georgian Place. The company operates over 100 restaurants in Pennsylvania, including Johnstown, which opened in November along Scalp Avenue.
"We are always looking for communities where we can serve responsibly sourced, classically-cooked real food, and establish new local partnerships, and southwestern Pennsylvania is a great fit," the company representative said in an email to the Daily American last fall.
The 2,811-square-foot Somerset restaurant will offer indoor dining as well as its signature Chipotlane, a drive-up window specifically for customers who place orders online to pick up their orders without leaving their vehicles.
The company also offers group ordering and catering options and in-restaurant and online fundraising opportunities for local organizations.
Chipotle still hiring for Somerset spot
Chipotle is still hiring employees for the Somerset location, the company representative said.
