Body of Drowning Victim at Patagonia Lake Recovered, Identified as Nogales Resident
At approximately 10:30 AM on July 25. 2024, the deceased body of drowning victim Brayan R. Torres was recovered from Patagonia Lake. Torres was 20 years old at the time of his death. The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office gives its sincerest condolences to the family and loved ones of Mr. Torres. Torres was a resident of Nogales, Arizona and a Corrections Officer employed by the Pima County Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff’s Office would also like to thank the many Sheriff’s Office employees and volunteers that participated in the search and recovery operation. We also give your sincere thanks to the other agencies and personnel that participated in the search.
