    Somerville Resident Charged with Possession, Distribution of Child Porn

    SOMERVILLE, NJ – Borough resident Allan Lopez Arrieta, aka Allana Arrieta, 30, faces criminal charges for the distribution of Child Sexual Abuse material, according to Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald.

    The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children notified the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office of several tips involving the upload and/or distribution of images of Child Sexual Abuse Material via online messaging applications, according to McDonald; an investigation was initiated by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Special Investigations/Computer Crimes Unit. The investigation confirmed that the online messaging applications containing these images of Child Sexual Abuse Material were linked to Allen Lopez.

    Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office detectives, along with officers from the Somerville Police Department, executed a search warrant at Lopez Arrieta’s residence July 12. Lopez Arrieta was placed under arrest without incident at the residence and transported to the Prosecutor’s Office for processing.

    Lopez Arrieta is charged with 2nd degree, Distribution of Images Depicting the Sexual Exploitation and/or Abuse of a Child, 3rd Degree, Possession of Images Depicting the Sexual Exploitation and/or Abuse of a Child and 4th degree, Tampering with Evidence.

    The suspect is lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.
