Tennessee officials are planning the state’s inaugural toll roads, Choice Lanes!. The proposed I-24 Southeast Choice Lanes project would construct new, optional Choice Lanes on I-24 between Nashville and Murfreesboro. Choice Lanes are price-managed lanes that use pricing to proactively manage demand and provide travel-time reliability. The proposed Choice Lanes would allow motorists to maintain consistent travel speeds even when the adjacent existing lanes are congested.

Tennessee State Parks announced the installation of adult-sized changing tables at five state parks as part of efforts to increase accessibility for all visitors. The added tables bring the total of parks with adult-sized changing tables to six, including one announced in January at Natchez Trace State Park. Horror as three dead in Mississippi murder-suicide as one shot watching breakfast TV at home
Three people have died as part of a suspected murder-suicide police have reported. On August 4 officers from Hernando Police Department responded to a call from a neighbor who dialled 911 after they were woken up by gunshots at around 8 am. Officers arriving at the scene on Elm Street in the Creekside area of the neighborhood discovered three people with gunshot wounds.
