‘Mountains of Mac’ Mac & Cheese Festival coming to Sophia this September

SOPHIA, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Raleigh County’s very first Mac & Cheese Festival will be making its way to Sophia this September as Hope in the Mountains hosts its inaugural “Mountains of Mac” event.

Scheduled for Saturday, September 14, 2024, “Mountains of Mac” will take place at Main Street Sophia and will run from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.

Along with mac & cheese samples and a mac & cheese cook-off competition, the festival will feature vendors, food trucks, children’s activities, and live music from West Virginia’s own Hello June .

Vendors and sponsors are currently being accepted for the event, and those interested in sponsoring or participating as a vendor or competitor in the mac & cheese cook-off are encouraged to reach out to hope@hopeinthemountains.com for additional information.

Proceeds generated from “Mountains of Mac” will support the efforts of the Hope in the Mountains organization who, through a number of community partnerships, work to provide resources and services to the Raleigh and Wyoming County regions of Southern West Virginia.
