‘Birds and Blooms’ set July 27
The public is invited to Eveleth-Fayal Garden Club’s “Birds and Blooms” Flower Show on Saturday, July 27, at the Fayal Town Hall, 4375 Shady Lane, Eveleth. Entries will be accepted on Friday, July 26, 4-6:30 p.m. and Saturday morning 9:30-10:30 a.m. Exhibitors do not have to be garden club members. There will be a special category for young gardeners. Contact Alice at 218-749-5516, Nancy at 218-744-2941 or Jan at 218-865-6018 for a list of possible entries and rules. Viewing of the exhibits is 1:30-3:30 p.m. Saturday. 1 injured after Vista Star strikes breakwater
DULUTH, Minn. — One person was injured on Saturday night after a tour boat struck a breakwater near Duluth. The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office said in a press release that 84 people were on board the Vista Star around 10:45 Saturday night when emergency crews got a report the vessel was against the breakwater but not taking on water.
