Swift Apprehension of ATM Robbery Suspect: $58K Recovered, Stolen Vehicle Confirmed

Constables swiftly apprehended a suspect involved in an attempted ATM robbery within a minute. The incident took place on September 4, 2024, when officers from Constable Mark Herman's Office responded to a report of two individuals breaking into an ATM on the 16900 block of North Eldridge Parkway. Upon their arrival, the culprits attempted to escape in a vehicle. The deputies pursued the vehicle, resulting in a successful traffic stop. While the driver was promptly apprehended, the passenger managed to evade capture despite an extensive search effort. Following the apprehension, law enforcement recovered $58,772.00 from the scene and determined that the vehicle used in the crime had been recently stolen from a nearby apartment complex. Moreover, investigations revealed that the apprehended driver had existing felony warrants for arrest issued by Harris County.
