The Cajun Salmon and Shrimp dish offers a delightful and satisfying dining experience suitable for any meal, providing a comforting warmth that perfectly complements the ambiance of the fall season.

    Ingredients:

    2 salmon fillets

1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

    2 tbsp olive oil

    2 tbsp Cajun seasoning

    1/2 tsp garlic powder

    1/2 tsp onion powder

    1/4 tsp black pepper

    1/4 tsp salt

    1 lemon, sliced

    2 tbsp butter

    1/4 cup chopped parsley (optional)

    Directions:

To begin, preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper. Next, in a small bowl, mix the Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.

Apply 1 tablespoon of olive oil evenly onto the salmon fillets and season them on both sides with half of the Cajun spice mix. Arrange the seasoned salmon fillets on the baking sheet. Then, bake the salmon in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until fully cooked.

While the salmon is in the oven, proceed to warm the rest of the olive oil in a skillet on medium heat. Place the shrimp into the skillet and evenly coat them with the remaining Cajun spice mix. Allow the shrimp to cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and are thoroughly cooked. Once the salmon is ready, place the cooked shrimp on top of each fillet. In the same skillet, melt the butter and add the juice of half a lemon. Drizzle this buttery sauce over the salmon and shrimp for added flavor.

Enhance the presentation by adorning the dish with finely diced parsley and delicately sliced lemon discs for an added touch of elegance. Serve the dish while it is still warm for optimal enjoyment.
