Madewell is embracing “ denim dressing ” for Fall 2024.

The J.Crew Group-owned brand delivers “breadth and depth in the form of fits and washes” including an array of non-jean denim pieces.

The women’s assortment is a direct response to consumers’ appetite for more wide-leg shapes, rigid offerings and a variety of rises, Madewell stated, adding it “doubles as the blueprint for effortless everyday dressing.”

The Low Slung Baggy jean, a fit designed to sit low on the hips and puddle at the hem, is new for the season. The rigid jean is available in three washes: dark wash Moffat, light vintage wash Hamburg and black Kingswood wash with a vintage orange peel effect. “This approachable spin on the slouchy jean trend is sure to stay on rotation this fall,” Madewell stated.

Leaning into demand for loose and wide fits Madewell is bringing back the Superwide-Leg jean, a high-rise rigid jean with cuffed hems, and the Darted Barrel-Leg jean. An iteration of the horseshoe jean , the barrel fit is designed to sit naturally at the waist with a slight dangle and darts at the knees. Madewell noted that the jean is quickly becoming one of its best sellers of the year.

Beyond jeans, Madewell bows a crewneck vest and circle midi skirt with Madewell’s mid-blue Java wash and an oversized cotton/ Tencel denim shirt dress. It taps into the western trend with a snap button western shirt and midi shirtdress and into utility with a long-sleeve coveralls and garment-dyed belted straight cargo pants.

The men’s line includes a Straight-Leg jean in raw selvedge, the 1991 Loose Straight Jean in six washes, a denim shirt-jacket and a western shirt in vintage canvas and light indigo.
