Maurices , the size-inclusive apparel retailer, has launched its popular Hometown Denim Drive event.

Running now through Aug.31, this initiative invites customers to bring in any gently used jeans—regardless of brand—to one of Maurices’ nearly 900 locations across the U.S. and Canada. In return, participants will receive $10 off a new pair of regularly priced jeans, valid through Sept.15.

The drive’s local focus resonates with consumers.

“Our Hometown Denim Drive is a result of our do-good, feel-good mission and supports each of the hometowns we’re located in across the U.S. and Canada by keeping denim donations local to help women in need. Organizations are aligned to Maurices cause pillars that support victims of domestic violence, homelessness, human trafficking and more,” said Kristin McClement, Maurices VP of brand and growth.

Maurices has collected over 65,000 pairs of jeans since launching the drive in 2019.

“The heart behind our customers goes above and beyond receiving the discount,” McClement said. They have a strong passion to support their hometowns and women in need.”

The drive also highlights Maurices’ dedication to helping women feel confident in their jeans. Through the Fit Freedom Jean Exchange Program, customers can exchange jeans from the m jeans by Maurices line for a new pair—free of charge—for up to a year if their body changes and they need a different size.

“Denim is a wardrobe staple. Finding the perfect pair of jeans sometimes feels impossible, which is why we have fit specialists in each of our stores to help our customers find their perfect fit,” she said. “We pride ourselves in making women feel their best when they find a comfortable pair of jeans that fits them in all the right places, which is why we are hosting a denim drive. We can deliver gently worn jeans to women in need.”

It’s a popular time for denim donation drives. Cotton Incorporated’s Blue Jeans Go Green recycling program hosted Denim Decoded events at nine Anthropologie locations this month. Customers were encouraged to drop off old denim and work with one of Anthropologie’s stylists to choose and customize a new pair. Earlier this month Target launched its first chain-wide Denim Take Back Event, allowing consumers to bring used denim of any brand to a Target store to recycle. In exchange, consumers received a Target Circle 20 percent off discount code to use toward a new denim apparel purchase during the same period.
