Workwear brand Carhartt appointed Norma Delaney as the company’s new vice president of brand marketing and creative. With over 20 years of relevant experience, Delaney will lead the development of marketing and creative strategies for the brand, overseeing media planning, brand management, internal and external public relations, digital marketing and marketing analysis. Leveraging her expertise as a high-impact consumer marketing leader with success in building brand heat, she will be responsible for shaping the company’s image and expanding its customer base. Delaney will report to Susan Hennike, Carhartt’s chief brand officer.
French fashion house Givenchy announced the appointment of Sarah Burton as creative director, responsible for the creative direction of all the women’s and men’s collections. In 1996, Burton joined Alexander McQueen and became head of design in 2000. In 2010, she was appointed creative director, though she left the post last October. In December 2023, she was awarded the Special Recognition Award at the Fashion Awards, honoring her “outstanding contributions” to the industry. Burton will present her first collection next March.
Footwear brand Aerosoles has named Jimmy Gabriel as its new president and chief brand officer. Gabriel, an industry veteran with almost 50 years of experience, will bring his deep expertise and leadership to the American Exchange Group-owned brand. He has led the development, launch and growth of major footwear brands, including Aquatalia, Coach Footwear, Calvin Klein Footwear, Frye, BCBG, Juicy Couture and Enzo Angiolini.

Workwear brand Dovetail Workwear has appointed Linda Reese to vice president of marketing alongside the promotion of co-founder Sara DeLuca to vice president of product. Collaboratively, Reese and DeLuca will strengthen alignment across product and marketing strategies in their new and expanded roles.
Off-price apparel retailer Ross Stores announced several merchandising leadership changes, effective as of Dec 1. Karen Fleming will be promoted to president and chief merchandising officer for Ross Dress for Less, continuing to report directly to CEO Barbara Rentler. Fleming currently serves as president and CMO of DD’s Discounts and is responsible for directing all aspects of merchandising at DD’s. In her new role, Fleming will oversee the merchandising responsibilities at Ross Dress for Less. Karen Sykes will replace Fleming upon her promotion and become president and CMO of DD’s Discounts, also continuing to report directly to Rentler. She currently serves as executive vice president of merchandising, overseeing men’s and children’s at Ross Dress for Less. In her new role, Sykes will direct all aspects of merchandising at DD’s.
Italian footwear association Assocalzaturifici announced Diorgio Possagno as its new general manager. Possagno began his career with Pirelli, working out of the company’s Milan office. In 2022, he relocated to Sao Paulo, Brazil, moving on to TIM Brasil Rio de Janeiro office. Returning to Telecom Italia in 2012, he joined the Veronafiere Group in 2013 as general manager of Veronafiere Servizi before joining the parent company, Veronafiere, as director of operations. He has served as the managing director of Polo Fieristico Veronese since 2019.
The LIM Fashion Education Foundation (LIM FEF) announced the appointment of Elyce Arons, founder of Frances Valentine, and Jim Moore, creative director-at-large for GQ and fashion director for Todd Snyder, to its board of directors. Arons is a seasoned fashion veteran, known for co-founding Kate Spade in 1993 and helping spearhead its evolution to an international success. In 2016, she co-founded Frances Valentine with Kate and Andy Spade. Moore has spent virtually his entire career—40 years—with GQ. Moore also joined Todd Snyder in 2018, helping to position the label at the forefront of American menswear.
Global manufacturer and marketer of branded and private label apparel, Delta Galil , has named Yaniv Benedek as chief financial officer (CFO), effective Oct. 9. Benedek, who joined the company in 2011, most recently served as CFO of Delta Israel Brands. He brings global experience across due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, strategic business development and the establishment of new business initiatives to the role. Benedek is replacing Lilach Payorski , who has served as CFO for less than six months.
